I was trying to find an old email from a friend of mine on Outlook when I ran into this warm and fuzzy email I received from Kimberly after we photographed her family earlier this year.
Dearest Tony and Joseph,
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Everyone that I've shown the photos to have said wonderful things about the work you two did. The photos are gorgeous. But aside from the photos, the most important part was that it's been a long time since my family has gotten together to do a shared activity. We used to do a lot of things when we were kids- a luxuries that only now at 25 and in 20/20 hindsight- I can recognize to be precious. But as my sister and I become adults and the fruits of my parents' labor are ripening (me going to law school, my sister headed to pharmacy)- it is harder to find those precious moments of just having plain ol' family fun. Kinda sad but it's just how things are...
My parents had a blast. They said you guys were really nice and that you guys made them feel comfortable. If anything I know that the family together just laughing over silly things like a pose was something to warm their hearts. You definitely would not have found that in a typical photo studio.. that was exactly what I was searching for through you guys.
Okay- I just wanted to thank you guys. There are certain emotions that cannot be expressed in words. There are only 26 letters to formulate specific combinations. Music, art, and- in this case- photographs exude much more. Thank you for allowing my family to have this special moment.
God bless.
Yours,
Kimberly
**[There were other parts of the email that were logistical which I will not bore you with, but you get the gist ;)]
This is the
EXACT reason why Joe and I love to do what we do, plain and simple.
Here's a photo that Joe took to capture the portrait session models hard at work.
